Korzen Health seeks a full-time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for outpatient wound care centers in Bloomington, IL and Pontiac, IL. This position is based in a procedure-oriented outpatient clinic exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care, primarily serving geriatric patients. You will work in collaboration with St Joseph MC, Saint James John Albrecht MC, and Healogics, and will be employed by Healogics.

This role involves a split schedule between the two locations and includes a mix of inpatient, skilled nursing facility, and wound care center work. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Provide procedural wound care including minor procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage (I&D), and debridements
  • Manage advanced wound-care treatments including cellulitis therapy, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infection management and prevention, wound cleaning, and wound dressing
  • Work with a full clinical team including case managers, hyperbaric oxygen therapy nurses, office manager, and front and back office support
  • Participate in credentialing process including submission of procedural case logs

Schedule

  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week
  • No night shifts, on-call responsibilities, holiday hours, or weekend hours
  • PRN shifts may be available depending on current provider availability and PTO

Required Qualifications

  • Clean and active state nursing license
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner credential
  • DEA License
  • Minimum of 1 year of NP experience
  • Procedural experience including simple sutures, incision and drainage, and debridements
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in core specialty

Training and Support

  • Full 40-hour Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) therapy training program provided and paid
  • 3-day wound care training and mentorship provided and paid
  • Full clinical team in place from start date
