Weekend Warrior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nurse (RN)

This position offers weekend shift opportunities for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) in a long-term care setting. You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and coordinate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive nursing services to residents.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a long-term care facility that emphasizes community engagement and resident well-being. The environment supports teamwork and open communication among staff members.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate positive work ethic and model genuine, caring, and friendly behaviors
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in coordination with the healthcare team
• Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and intravenously; record all medication administration
• Record patient medical information and vital signs
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment; interpret and record electronic displays
• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start intravenous lines
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments
• Respond to life-saving situations according to nursing standards and protocol
• Document all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned

Schedule

• Weekend Warrior program with day shifts
• Weekend availability required

Required Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as an RN or LPN in a long-term care setting
• Knowledge of Matrixcare
