Dana Hall School seeks a Weekend School Nurse (part-time) to manage student health needs in a school setting. This 10-month position runs from September through mid-June, with an average schedule of twice per month on Saturdays and Sundays every other weekend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., excluding holidays and school closures. The ideal candidate will also be available for per diem coverage.
Responsibilities
- Manage student health needs, including medications, episodic care, and wellness needs
- Provide associated documentation and appropriate communications regarding student care
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Manage medications and implement individual health plans
- Coordinate medical emergency responses
- Provide routine school medical management of student illnesses
- Maintain school records via Medicat EMR
- Collaborate with school personnel to ensure the safety and well-being of students
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts
- Current CPR certification
