TeamHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our post-acute care team in Middletown, Delaware. This is a part-time weekend position (1-2 days per week) providing inpatient medical care in a rehabilitation facility. You will deliver comprehensive patient care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patients during their recovery journey.
Clinical Setting
You will work in an inpatient rehabilitation facility, providing medical oversight and care coordination for patients in recovery. The role emphasizes collaboration with rehabilitation physicians, nursing staff, therapy teams, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inpatient medical assessments, including history, physical exams, and review of rehabilitation goals
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in coordination with the rehabilitation plan
- Monitor functional progress and adjust treatment plans to support recovery goals
- Collaborate with rehabilitation physicians, nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members
- Provide medical education to patients and families related to recovery, comorbidities, and prevention
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Delaware
- DEA registration
- Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach

Schedule
Weekend position, 1-2 days per week. Dedicated night call coverage is provided to support work-life balance.
Compensation
Fee-for-service compensation with an estimated range of $41,976 to $83,952 annually. No cap on productivity income potential.

Location
Middletown, Delaware (in-person, required). Middletown is located 24 miles south of Wilmington in New Castle County, with a population of approximately 20,000. The region experiences typical East Coast weather with warm summers and cool winters.
