Weekend Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Owenton Healthcare and Rehab is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for weekend shifts. This is a premium-pay position in a long-term care setting within a small, tight-knit community. You will provide direct bedside care to residents, monitor their health status, assist with activities of daily living, and collaborate with the nursing and medical team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Clinical Setting

Owenton Healthcare and Rehab is a long-term care facility serving residents in a community-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care to patients including personal hygiene maintenance
• Record patients' vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate
• Collect patient health information
• Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians
• Administer oral medications and injections to patients
• Assist patients with personal hygiene
• Monitor for changes in patients' conditions
• Perform proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patients' medical records
• Ask questions and seek clarification from the registered nurse when in doubt
• Act as a role model for ancillary personnel
• Maintain confidentiality of patients' clinical records

Required Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as an LPN in a long-term care setting

Schedule

• Weekend shifts with premium pay
