Vent Unit Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Vent Unit to provide direct care to ventilator-dependent patients. This full-time night shift position offers the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation and nursing services.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a specialized ventilator unit within a rehabilitation and nursing center, caring for patients with complex respiratory needs and providing rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to ventilator-dependent patients, including assessing their needs and administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Conduct routine assessments and evaluations of patient condition, including vital signs, wound care, and other clinical measures
• Develop and maintain accurate and timely patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
• Lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Ohio LPN licensure
• One or more years of experience in a Vent Unit or similar setting
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed

Schedule

• Full-time position
• 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. (night shift)
• Night shift differential: $2.00 per hour
