GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Portland and Vancouver area locations. You will provide urgent care services to both pediatric and adult patients, treating acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. Working collaboratively with physicians, you will use excellent assessment skills to recognize serious conditions and direct patients to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.

Clinical Setting

You will work in state-of-the-art urgent care centers equipped with advanced technology, including an integrated EPIC EMR system. Our busier centers offer the opportunity to work with a dedicated scribe. You will collaborate with on-site radiology technicians, medical assistants, and paramedics for clinical support.

Responsibilities

  • Treat pediatric and adult patient populations (ages 6 months and up)
  • Perform minor procedures including sutures, casts, and splints
  • Provide preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays
  • Make diagnoses and prescribe treatments and medications
  • Work in a collaborative environment with physicians and clinical support staff

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages)
  • Comfort with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints) and preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Master's degree and appropriate certification (AANC or AANP)
  • For Physician Assistants: Master's degree and NCCPA certification
