Carbon Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our national network of urgent care clinics as a per diem clinician. This role offers flexibility while providing access to a supportive, innovative healthcare environment equipped with advanced technology and collaborative clinical teams.
Clinical Setting
You will work in urgent care clinics across our national network, treating patients of all ages presenting with a variety of acute conditions. Carbon Health operates a physician-founded organization committed to making quality healthcare accessible to everyone. Our clinics are supported by CarbyOS, our proprietary electronic health record system designed to reduce administrative burden and enhance clinical efficiency through AI-powered tools including hands-free note-writing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for a variety of urgent care conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays, labs, and EKGs
- Perform typical urgent care procedures, such as wound closures, incision and drainage, and splint applications
- Collaborate with a network of peers and specialists to enhance patient outcomes
- Triage and manage patients efficiently to maintain smooth clinic flow
- Access immediate support from supervisors or experienced colleagues as needed
Required Qualifications
Physician Assistant:
- Medical or Master's degree
- Valid state license
- National certification
Nurse Practitioner:
- Active RN license
- NP certification
- Valid state license
All Clinicians:
- Valid and unrestricted medical license
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- DOT Certification (must be obtained prior to start date; Carbon Health covers course and exam fees and provides resources)
- BLS certification (required before first day)
Compensation and Benefits
Per Diem Position:
- Hourly base rate (varies based on education level, experience, work history, and geographic location)
- 2% employer 401(k) match
- 6.1% bonus for weekend and holiday work
