BestMed Clinics, part of Community Care Partners, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care and occupational medicine team in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In this outpatient role, you will provide direct patient care in a well-established network of clinics focused on keeping people out of the hospital while delivering personalized care.
Clinical Setting
You will work in urgent care and occupational medicine clinics supported by experienced clinical teams, modern facilities, and technology. The role includes the ability to perform occupational and telemedicine patient care in addition to in-person urgent care services.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care on an outpatient basis, including procedures normally performed in an urgent care setting
- Evaluate patients through physical examinations to determine medical conditions, establish diagnoses, and propose treatment plans
- Perform clinical procedures within your scope and skill level for patient benefit
- Communicate diagnosis and treatment goals to patients
- Arrange referrals to medical specialties not provided by the organization
- Maintain accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation with focus on proper level coding and clinical documentation integrity in the electronic medical record
- Perform non-patient facing duties such as lab and x-ray review
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Medical Director
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in Wyoming or ability to obtain
- Ability to obtain DOT certification within 60 days of hire
- Ability to obtain DEA licensure
- Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
