Urgent Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner

Join Jefferson Health's JeffExpress Urgent Care at Schuylkill Medical Plaza in Pottsville, PA as a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. This high-volume urgent care clinic operates 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM, with a team of 3 APCs currently on staff. You will deliver on-demand care to diverse patient populations in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas, managing everything from minor injuries and illnesses to on-site procedures and point-of-care testing.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a fast-paced urgent care environment with a team-based model that includes APCs, physicians, nurses, and support staff. The practice is backed by Jefferson Health's network-wide protocols, Epic electronic medical records system, and direct specialty referrals across the health system.

Responsibilities

• Practice autonomously at the top of your license in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
• Manage minor injuries, illnesses, on-site procedures, and point-of-care testing
• Collaborate with a skilled team of APCs, physicians, nurses, and support staff
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to diverse patient populations
• Serve communities in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Day shift only (no overnight shifts)
• Predictable, rotating schedule built on departmental needs
• Flexibility to travel between multiple health centers if desired

Required Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania state license as a Nurse Practitioner or ability to obtain one
• National NP Certification through AANP or ANCC
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or a similar specialty

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of relevant clinical experience as a CRNP
