The opportunity

Job Description

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Unit Support Associate for the Operating Room on the night shift. In this role, you will support the operating room team by maintaining a safe, clean environment and assisting with activities necessary for effective unit functioning.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain a safe environment in assigned areas
  • Clean all equipment related to the operating room
  • Transport patients, supplies, laboratory specimens, blood, and other items as directed
  • Manage garbage and trash disposal
  • Maintain patient safety and respond to patient, family, and visitor needs in a timely fashion
  • Maintain inventory of unit supplies in alignment with par levels
  • Stock and distribute supplies, instruments, and linens as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $47,979.15 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. This salary range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
