This is a 13-week travel nursing assignment for a Registered Nurse in an outpatient surgery and endoscopy setting within a short-term acute care hospital in Saint Helena, California. You will deliver coordinated perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced environment supporting high-volume patient turnover, managing pre-operative and Phase II PACU responsibilities, and collaborating with anesthesia and surgical services.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient surgical and endoscopy patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, and develop individualized plans of care
- Implement care plans and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate appropriately to ensure safe and efficient care delivery
- Manage perioperative workflows, including pre-operative and PACU Phase II care
- Support fast patient turnover in the high-volume outpatient setting
- Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
- Ensure clear communication with treating teams and document care in EPIC
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical services, and other disciplines to promote a safe and healing environment
- Address open heart and total joint patient considerations as applicable
Required Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS)
- Endoscopy experience required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in outpatient or perioperative care
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment with a 4x10 day shift schedule

- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4x10s (four 10-hour shifts per week)

- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Compensation and Benefits
- Weekly pay: $2,362 - $2,558 per week
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
