This is a 13-week travel nursing assignment for a Registered Nurse in Obstetrics and Gynecology at a short-term acute care hospital in Hanford, California. The position begins August 31, 2026, and offers night shift work with competitive weekly compensation and guaranteed hours.
Clinical Setting
You will work in a short-term acute care hospital OB/GYN unit, providing care for obstetric and gynecologic patients in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients according to the nursing process and established standards
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across assigned units
- Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary teams, and support services
- Collect relevant patient data, analyze findings, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families
- Ensure safe care transitions
- Maintain accurate documentation and support infection prevention
- Promote a safe, healing environment
- Provide readiness for labor and delivery recovery
- Support cesarean births as needed, including rapid response to obstetric events
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 3 twelve-hour blocks per week
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Compensation
- Weekly pay: $2,225 to $2,385
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract with potential extension opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in California
- At least two years of recent clinical experience in acute care settings
- BLS (CPR) certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification
- Ability to work in a high-acuity OB/GYN setting, including labor/delivery recovery and potential cesarean delivery
