Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

This is a travel nursing assignment for a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical Telemetry on the night shift at a hospital in Pittsfield, MA. You will provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with an emphasis on telemetry monitoring, working 3x12-hour night shifts. The assignment begins September 14, 2026, and is expected to last several weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients on night shifts
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy per physician orders
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition, escalating when appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
• Document nursing assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the charting system
• Ensure infection control, patient safety, and patient comfort
• Assist with patient transport and discharge planning as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license in hand at time of submission
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 3-4 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current NIHSS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work night shifts in a hospital medical-surgical unit
• Current COVID-19 vaccination and booster (no exemptions permitted)
• Current flu vaccination status as applicable
• Must provide Social Security Number and Date of Birth; clinician must log into MA online portal and provide necessary documentation items
• Non-local candidate status required; travel assignment preferred (candidates within 50 miles not accepted)

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,269-$2,300 per week
