Travel Registered Nurse Manager Job

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse Manager in San Luis Obispo, California, beginning August 31, 2026. You will provide unit-based leadership in a hospital setting, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel while collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff to optimize patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide unit-based leadership and supervise nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory judgment
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff to plan, coordinate, and optimize patient care
• Ensure cost-effective, professional care that yields positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining patient safety
• Assess patient experience on the unit and implement quality improvements to enhance care delivery
• Exercise independent judgment in daily operations to support safe, efficient, and high-quality care delivery

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• Experience in unit-based leadership or nurse-lead roles
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, management, and physicians
• Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and high patient satisfaction
• Ability to adapt to a travel assignment with 5x8 day shifts in a hospital setting

Schedule

• Shift: 5x8 days (40 hours per week)
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: August 31, 2026

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,809–$2,865 per week
• Guaranteed hours: 0 per week
