Travel Operating Room Nurse

This is a 13-week travel nursing assignment for an experienced Operating Room Nurse in Key West, Florida. You will work as both a circulator and scrub nurse in a multispecialty surgical setting, with a focus on orthopedic and cesarean section procedures. This role offers flexible scheduling between day and mid shifts in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and scrub nurse duties as needed in the operating room
• Prepare the operating room, ensuring sterile technique and proper equipment setup
• Monitor and support patients throughout surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation of intraoperative care
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a multispecialty operating room or as a travel nurse
• Strong expertise in orthopedic and cesarean section procedures
• Proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing roles
• Active ACLS certification
• Active BLS certification
• Active PALS certification
• Active NIHSS certification
