Travel Nurse - Operating Room - Evenings

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to join a healthcare team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated surgical team across multiple specialties while earning $2,315–$2,515 per week.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a busy operating room environment providing perioperative nursing care across general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, robotic surgery, urology, hand surgery, and podiatry.

Schedule

• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts
• Days: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Call Rotation: 7 call assignments per 6-week period, shared among the nursing team
• Weekday Call: 3:00 PM–7:00 AM the following morning
• Weekend Call: 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

You must be comfortable participating in the shared call rotation and responding to after-hours surgical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the surgical experience
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team
• Perform circulating duties and maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, procedure, and required safety checks
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes during procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Participate in scheduled call rotation and support emergency or after-hours surgical cases

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Active RN license appropriate for the assignment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications as required by the facility
• Strong perioperative nursing and circulating skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Flexibility to participate in weekday and weekend call coverage
• Experience in general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, robotic surgery, urology, hand surgery, and podiatry

Compensation

• Weekly Pay: $2,315–$2,515
