Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care | (Night Shift)

This travel nursing assignment offers an opportunity to provide person-centered care in a skilled nursing facility long-term care setting in Dubuque, Iowa. You will work the night shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) as part of a collaborative team, delivering chronic disease management and daily nursing assessments to residents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and conduct routine resident assessments
• Administer medications and track responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other routine clinical procedures following established care plans
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and support ongoing rehabilitation activities as directed
• Communicate promptly with RNs, physicians, and resident family members regarding changes in resident condition
• Maintain precise, timely medical records in the EHR and follow all facility safety protocols

Clinical Setting

Facility-based long-term care setting with a collaborative team of nurses, CNAs, and therapists.

Schedule

• Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Full-time, travel/contract position
• Flexible and committed availability required for night shift work

Compensation

• $1,387.30 per week

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program
• Active LPN license in the State of Iowa or valid Compact/Multistate LPN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
• Minimum 1+ years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
• Strong communication skills with families and multidisciplinary team members
• Proficiency with EHR documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Hands-on experience with wound care and palliative care principles
