We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a long-term care facility in Dubuque, Iowa. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, person-centered care to residents, managing chronic diseases, performing daily assessments, and supporting rehabilitation plans in a collaborative facility environment.

Clinical Setting

This is a full-time contract travel position in a long-term care (LTC) facility. You will work alongside registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and accurately document resident responses in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Perform routine procedures, wound care, and dressing changes following established care plans
  • Identify and report changes in resident condition to RNs, physicians, and family members
  • Support activities of daily living (ADLs) and rehabilitation plans in coordination with CNAs and therapists
  • Maintain strict safety protocols and uphold state and facility compliance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
  • Active LPN license in the State of Iowa or active Compact/NLC state license
  • Active CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum one year of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, and nights)
  • Strong communication skills with residents' families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • Hands-on experience with advanced wound care or palliative care principles

Schedule

This position requires flexibility to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts.
