This is a travel contract position for a Licensed Practical Nurse in a long-term care skilled nursing facility in Buffalo Center, Iowa. You will provide person-centered care to residents, administer medications and treatments, monitor vital signs, and manage chronic conditions in a collaborative nursing environment. This role offers flexible day shifts with consistent scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor resident responses, documenting in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Perform routine wound care, dressing changes, and treatments according to established care plans
- Assess changes in resident conditions and communicate promptly with physicians, RNs, and family members
- Collaborate with certified nursing assistants and therapists to support daily living activities and rehabilitation programs
- Maintain strict safety protocols and ensure precise clinical documentation
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Active Iowa LPN license or valid compact/multistate LPN license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum one year of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Schedule and Compensation
- Day shift with flexible scheduling
- Full-time, contract, travel position
- Weekly pay: $1,440.13
