Travel Eagle Licensed Practical Nurse (82753)

Centurion is seeking a full-time Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Centurion Eagles Travel Team, working at Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna, Illinois and other facilities throughout the state as needed. This role provides holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice for an LPN, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff to address a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Clinical Setting

• Illinois Department of Corrections facilities
• Correctional healthcare environment
• Work assignments rotate between various facilities throughout Illinois per contract needs
• Each assignment is restricted to one location

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the scope of LPN practice
• Work under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff
• Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license to practice in Illinois
• Must live 90 or more miles from the facility
• Current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital, or long-term care facility
• Corrections experience
• Previous travel nursing experience
