Stella Mental Health is seeking a full-time TMS Technician / Patient Care Coordinator for our San Diego clinic. In this role, you will conduct transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatment sessions and provide direct patient care and monitoring for individuals receiving breakthrough mental health treatments for depression, PTSD, and anxiety. You will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other clinical team members to deliver compassionate, individualized care while supporting daily clinic operations.

Clinical Setting

This is an in-person position at our San Diego clinic, working Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM PST. You will be part of a treatment team utilizing cutting-edge modalities including ketamine infusions, intranasal esketamine (Spravato), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB).

Responsibilities

Patient Care

  • Conduct interventional psychiatric treatment sessions and document services accurately and timely
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional status and provide individualized patient care according to physician orders and care plans
  • Prepare and review medical records to evaluate patients' physical and emotional status
  • Educate and support patients throughout their treatment experience and respond to questions with professionalism and compassion
  • Protect patient rights and maintain confidentiality of personal and medical information in accordance with HIPAA standards

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other treatment team members to support coordinated patient care
  • Communicate relevant patient progress, concerns, or changes to the appropriate clinical provider
  • Coordinate effectively with professionals from diverse backgrounds and at different levels
  • Maintain a professional, patient-centered, and customer-service-oriented approach

Clinical Operations

  • Complete and sign all patient notes in the electronic medical record system within 48 hours of service
  • Sign, date, and complete all charting and recordkeeping in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records
  • Upload and mark up fMRI data as needed
  • Conduct literature reviews as needed
  • Assist with data management and clinical research projects
  • Follow all established health, safety, clinical, and organizational policies and procedures
  • Support daily clinic operations and overall clinic efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant healthcare, clinical, patient care, or similar experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work within an electronic medical record system
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with professionals from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Professional attitude and commitment to providing exceptional individualized patient care
  • Ability to reliably commute to the San Diego clinic

Preferred Qualifications

  • TMS Certification
