Stella Mental Health is seeking a full-time TMS Technician / Patient Care Coordinator for our Irvine clinic. In this role, you will conduct transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatment sessions and provide direct patient care and monitoring for individuals receiving breakthrough mental health treatments for depression, PTSD, and anxiety. You will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other clinical team members to deliver compassionate, individualized care while supporting daily clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interventional psychiatric treatment sessions and document services accurately and timely
- Monitor patients' physical and emotional status and provide individualized patient care according to physician orders and care plans
- Prepare and review medical records to evaluate patients' physical and emotional status
- Educate and support patients throughout their treatment experience and respond to questions with professionalism and compassion
- Protect patient rights and maintain confidentiality of personal and medical information in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Complete and sign all patient notes in the electronic medical record system within 48 hours of service
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records with proper signing, dating, and charting
- Upload and mark up fMRI data as needed
- Conduct literature reviews as needed
- Assist with data management and clinical research projects
- Collaborate with the treatment team to support coordinated patient care and communicate relevant patient progress, concerns, or changes to appropriate clinical providers
- Support daily clinic operations and overall clinic efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant healthcare, clinical, patient care, or similar experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach
- Basic computer skills and ability to work within an electronic medical record system
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with professionals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Professional attitude and commitment to providing exceptional individualized patient care
- Ability to reliably commute to the Irvine clinic
Preferred Qualifications
- TMS Certification
- Current CPR/First Aid/BLS certification
- Seizure Safety Certification
- Experience with TMS or other interventional psychiatric treatments
- Experience in behavioral or mental healthcare
- Experience working with electronic medical records
- Familiarity with fMRI data, data management, or clinical research
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM PST
- In-person at Irvine, CA location
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
