Telephonic Clinical Operations - Registered Nurse

CVS Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telephonic Clinical Operations to support the clinical operations of our specialty pharmacy, which provides medications and support for rare and complex conditions. In this fully remote position, you will provide telephonic patient counseling and education, monitor patient adherence, report adverse drug events, and collaborate with physicians to resolve clinical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephonic counseling to new patients on disease processes, prescribed drug action, common side effects, and treatment parameters
• Provide patient education on chronic disease states including oncology, asthma, multiple sclerosis, cancer, hepatitis C, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and cystic fibrosis
• Educate patients on current treatment modalities, common side effects, and side effect management
• Monitor patient adherence and conduct outbound calls as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and their staff to resolve clinical issues, obtain clinical data, and secure prescriptions
• Assist in training new clinical staff on specific chronic illnesses and treatment modalities
• Report adverse drug events
• Maintain nursing continuing education units and pursue continuous learning opportunities
• Perform other responsibilities as directed by senior management

Schedule

• Fully remote position
• Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time
• 40 hours per week
• Full-time employment

Location Requirements

• You must live within a 50-mile radius of either our Orlando, FL or Tampa, FL Specialty Pharmacy locations to come into the office if you are unable to work from home unexpectedly on a given day.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted multi-state registered nursing license in Florida with the ability to become licensed in states not part of the Nurse Licensure Compact
• 3 or more years of experience in a clinical setting (Medical/Surgical experience is preferred)
• Experience with personal computers, keyboard navigation, and MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
• Associate degree in nursing (minimum)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an acute care setting providing care to patients with chronic conditions such as Medical/Surgical, Oncology, or Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
• Experience within telephonic nursing

Compensation and Benefits

• Typical pay range: $29.10 to $62.32 per hour
