Join Emerus, the leader in small-format hospitals, as a Telemetry Registered Nurse at the new Baylor Scott & White Hospital Alliance location in Fort Worth, Texas. This PRN night shift position offers the opportunity to provide specialized telemetry nursing care in a 16-bed small-format hospital setting with 8 emergency department beds and 8 inpatient beds.
Clinical Setting
This newly opened facility combines the resources of a full-service hospital with the personalized care model of a small-format setting. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering individualized patient care and building trusted relationships within the community.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care using advanced specialty clinical nursing knowledge and skills
- Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age-specific, and developmentally appropriate nursing care
- Ensure patient comfort and safety while maintaining privacy and confidentiality of all patient information and records
- Follow physician orders in the delivery of nursing care
- Adhere to required infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques
- Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies, procedures, COLA, and CLIA regulations
- Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures
- Assemble equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures; perform or assist with procedures and treatments as needed
- Handle all care in accordance with legal requirements, hospital policies, departmental procedures, and established standards of nursing practice as defined by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Perform assigned Quality Assessment activities and document appropriately
- Attend required staff meetings and company-sponsored or mandated meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Schedule
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- PRN (as needed) employment type
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
- Current Texas RN license without sanctions
- 2 or more years of full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or 2 or more years of combination experience in related healthcare positions
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Fluency in English with proficiency in written and oral communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- PALS certification (ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted)

Additional Requirements
If you are a Pennsylvania RN, you must have completed Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) and Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) within the last 5 years, or these must be obtained prior to your start date.
