Technician, Scrub OR (Certified/No Certified) - Operating Room - Mullica Hill - FT - 6:45am-7:15pm

The Operating Room Scrub Technician is a key member of the perioperative team who functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse and surgeon to support safe, high quality surgical care. This full-time position is located in Mullica Hill with a schedule of 6:45am to 7:15pm. The Scrub Technician is responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining the sterile field, and providing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures
• Maintain the sterile field throughout all phases of the operative process
• Provide instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgical team
• Assist with surgical counts, specimen handling, patient positioning, prepping, and draping
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team across all phases of the operative process
• Adhere to aseptic technique and infection prevention standards
• Follow established surgical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to support patient safety
• Communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program and associated hours
• Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile field maintenance, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and procedural needs across a variety of surgical specialties
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Licenses and Certifications

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience functioning as a Scrub Technician in an Operating Room setting

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, reaching, hearing, talking, and vision. Occasional lifting of items over 50 pounds, climbing, crouching, and kneeling are required. The role involves exposure to noxious odors, varied temperatures, cleaning agents, operative equipment, and patient contact.
