Surgical Technologist – Rotating Shifts – Operating Room

We are seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures across all age groups in our operating room. This role is essential to ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting effective surgical operations. You will work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with on-call duties as part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures and coordinate treatment with the surgical team
• Provide basic patient support and connect patients to clinical equipment
• Practice and maintain aseptic techniques during surgery preparation
• Participate in surgical briefings and verify surgical sites
• Maintain accurate supply and specimen documentation
• Manage wound care and perform sterile dressing changes
• Properly dispose of sharps and linens following universal precautions
• Initiate emergency procedures as needed and support patient admission and discharge processes
• Perform billing tasks and participate in on-call rotations
• Act as a preceptor for students
• Perform quality control, handle specimen collection, and assist with patient transport
• Adhere to all organizational policies and standards of care

Required Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligibility under applicable law
• Graduation from a specialized surgical technologist training program
• Strong adherence to safety protocols and sterile techniques
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
