Surgical Technologist – CST – Day/Evening – Operating Room

Join our surgical team as a Surgical Technologist (CST) in the Operating Room, where you will assist surgical teams during procedures across all age groups. This day/evening position requires you to support surgeons by preparing and handling instruments, connecting clinical equipment, and maintaining aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle surgical instruments and connect clinical equipment
• Maintain aseptic techniques and universal precautions throughout procedures
• Participate in surgical timeouts and verify surgical sites
• Manage specimen identification and disposal
• Assess wounds and apply dressings
• Assist with patient admission, discharge, and specimen collection
• Maintain accurate supply counts and document procedures
• Act as a preceptor for students and participate in quality control activities
• Perform additional duties including patient transport and post-mortem care
• Initiate emergency procedures when necessary
• Adhere to all policies, protocols, and standards of care

Required Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or exemption under specific conditions
• Graduation from a specialized surgical training program
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and safety protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment
