Surgical Technician STUDENT - Surgical Services - Full Time - MAIN OPERATING ROOM

Join one of the state's largest and most active operating room departments as a Certified Surgical Technician Student. In this full-time role, you will work in the Main Operating Room alongside experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other medical personnel who are committed to delivering outstanding patient care in a safe and comfortable environment. You will be part of a comprehensive surgical services team equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prepare sterile instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures
• Assist the surgical team with the verification process
• Assist the surgical team with intra-operative procedures and case closure protocol
• Review surgical bookings and match procedures to preference cards
• Accurately use surgical preference cards for selection of instrumentation
• Inspect instruments for sterility, safety, and function
• Evaluate surroundings to maintain the sterile field
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations as they arise

You will work under the direction of the Circulator and be accountable to the RN Unit Director.

Required Qualifications

• Current enrollment in the Elliot CST Apprenticeship Program
• Current BLS certification
• New Hampshire Medical Technologist registration (or other current NH state license)

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Main Operating Room
