Surgical Technician - Main Operating Room

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Main Operating Room in the General Surgery Department. In this full-time day shift position, you will function as the scrub technologist in the surgical suite, responsible for selecting and setting up the sterile table with instruments, supplies, and equipment; passing instruments to the surgeon during procedures; maintaining sterile technique; and caring for instruments following procedures. You may also be assigned to roles including case carts, turnover team, or service line surgical technician duties. Under the supervision of the RN, you will assist with circulating duties as assigned to meet key performance indicators for efficient patient flow through the OR.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Day shift
• 40 hours per week

Compensation and Bonuses

• Up to $20,000 hiring bonus for eligible rehires and external hires who meet required qualifications and conditions for payment

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited course in surgical technology
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire
• National Provider BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire
• Current experience as a registered Surgical Technologist (recent completion of an accredited surgical technologist program may be considered as current experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of operating room experience
