Surgical Tech Operating Room PRN

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital is seeking a Surgical Tech Operating Room PRN to join our surgical services team at our 280-bed acute care facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. As a Surgical Technologist, you will prepare surgical suites and assist during operations while collaborating with a highly skilled surgical team. You'll work with cutting-edge surgical equipment in a fast-paced environment supporting diverse surgical services including orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrub in and partner with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating team needs
• Monitor patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
• Uphold sterile technique, complete room turnover efficiently, and support a high-performing, collaborative team environment

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS certification)
• Call required
• Fingerprinting required

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of recent acute care experience
