Surgical Tech First Assist or RNFA - AOSI Operating Room (Variable Shifts) PT 60%

Adena Health is seeking a Surgical Tech First Assist or Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) for the AOSI Operating Room in Chillicothe. This is a part-time position at 60% FTE with variable shifts.

The Certified Surgical Scrub Technician/First Assist (CST/FA) or RNFA provides patient care in the operating room under the direct supervision of the surgeon and works collaboratively with the care team, physicians, and patients/families to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The position involves access to confidential patient information and requires decision-making in collaboration with others and under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager. When functioning in surgery, the individual works under the supervision of the physician who is readily available.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care through application of surgical technology or nursing skills
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Work collaboratively with the surgical team, physicians, and patients/families
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Make clinical decisions independently and in collaboration with others

Required Qualifications for Surgical Tech First Assist

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent
• Current Certified First Assist (CFA) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) certification

Required Qualifications for RNFA

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within 3 years of hire
• Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification
