Adena Health is seeking a Surgical Tech First Assist or Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) for the AOSI Operating Room in Chillicothe. This full-time position at 90% FTE offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative surgical environment where you will provide direct patient care and support optimal surgical outcomes.
Clinical Setting
You will work in the AOSI Operating Room at Adena Health's Chillicothe location, collaborating with surgeons, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care team members to deliver focused, patient-centered surgical care.
Responsibilities
As a Surgical Tech First Assist or RNFA, you will:
- Provide direct patient care through application of surgical technology or nursing skills
- Work under the direct supervision of the surgeon during surgical procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team, physicians, and patients/families to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans (RNFA role)
- Handle confidential patient information with appropriate discretion
- Make clinical decisions independently and in collaboration with the care team
- Work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager outside of surgical procedures
Required Qualifications
For Certified Surgical Scrub Technician/First Assist (CST/FA):
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent
- Current Certified First Assist (CFA) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) certification
For Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA):
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within 3 years of hire
- Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification
