Supp Patient Care Technician, Days - Southwest

Memorial Hermann is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) I to provide direct patient care support on a PRN, days schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). This is a float pool position covering all hospital units, including ICU, ER, Med/Surg, and other departments.

As a PCT I, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse to assist patients with their daily care needs and monitor their condition. You will report any changes or unusual findings to the nurse promptly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients under licensed nurse supervision
• Obtain and record vital signs before and after treatment as applicable
• Visually monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the nurse
• Assist with hygiene, toileting, mobility, nutrition, and bathing
• Support activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Document patient information accurately and timely
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Follow all safety rules and Memorial Hermann policies and procedures
• Integrate into unit-based teams and participate in professional governance opportunities
• Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors
• Meet mandatory and continuing education requirements and skills competency
• Demonstrate commitment to providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences

Required Qualifications

• No prior experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, required within 90 days of employment
• All necessary training on PCT Core Competencies will be provided by Memorial Hermann

• Days: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Float pool assignment covering all hospital units
