Substitute School Nurse

Timberlane Regional School District is seeking Registered Nurses for substitute positions supporting the school health services department. You will provide nursing care to students in a school setting, with particular emphasis on supporting students with diabetes management and technology-related health needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct health services to students
• Support students with diabetes management and related technology
• Input accurate data into student health records using technology systems
• Communicate effectively with school staff, administration, and students
• Work collaboratively with the health services team in a fast-paced environment
• Apply developmentally appropriate approaches when working with children and young adults

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current knowledge of technology used with students who have diabetes
• Ability to work flexibly as a substitute professional
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to school environments
• Proficiency with technology for data entry and health record management

Compensation and Schedule

• Rate of pay: $290 per day or $40 per hour
• 7.25 hours per day

Training and support are provided to all candidates who join the team.
