Substitute School Nurse (RN)

As a Substitute School Nurse (RN), you will provide health care to students throughout the school day in a school setting. This position focuses on supporting the health, safety, and well-being of students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct health services to students
• Administer medications per physician's orders
• Assess illnesses and injuries and provide appropriate care
• Respond to medical emergencies within the building
• Support the health and safety of students, staff, and visitors

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, skills, and techniques
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies
• Strong communication skills
• Good moral character
