Substitute School Nurse

Hamilton Heights School Corporation is seeking substitute school nurses to provide health services to students in the school setting. As a substitute nurse, you will deliver direct patient care, administer medications and first aid according to physician-approved protocols, and support the health and wellness needs of the student population.

Responsibilities

• Administer first aid and medications to students according to physician-approved medical treatment protocols
• Implement care of medically fragile students according to their medical management plans
• Maintain daily clinic logs for student services in accordance with the nursing process
• Communicate with school personnel, students, and parents as needed to enhance health services to students
• Demonstrate the ability to deal with sensitive issues in a tactful and professional manner

Required Qualifications

• Current Indiana Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Ability to provide high level of patient confidentiality
