The opportunity

Job Description

Hamilton Heights School Corporation is seeking substitute school nurses to provide health services to students in the school setting. As a substitute nurse, you will deliver direct patient care, administer medications and first aid according to physician-approved protocols, and support the health and wellness needs of the student population.

Responsibilities

Administer first aid and medications to students according to physician-approved medical treatment protocols
Implement care of medically fragile students according to their medical management plans
Maintain daily clinic logs for student services in accordance with the nursing process
Communicate with school personnel, students, and parents as needed to enhance health services to students
Demonstrate the ability to deal with sensitive issues in a tactful and professional manner

Required Qualifications

Current Indiana Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support certification
Ability to provide high level of patient confidentiality
