The opportunity
Job Description
Broome-Tioga BOCES is seeking substitute school nurses to work directly with school-age students (through 21 years of age) at various BOCES sites. This is a continuous recruitment position for substitute coverage.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medication to students
- Perform assessment and data collection of minor injuries or illnesses
- Administer tube feedings
- Deliver first aid
- Complete required documentation
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be considered
- Preferably 1-2 years of school nurse experience
