Substitute Nurse, Campus School

Smith College Campus School seeks a substitute nurse to provide health office coverage for the elementary school (K-6) in the absence of the school nurse. You will respond to student illness, medical needs, and injuries as they occur during the school day, following all Campus School health office policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and record student illness, medical needs, and injuries as they occur during the school day
• Administer restricted medication to students
• Communicate with parents regarding student illnesses or injuries
• Conduct lice checks and follow-up as needed per Campus School protocol

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum two years of nursing experience that includes working with elementary age children

Compensation

• Pay is typically $35-$37 per hour. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications.
