Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within your independent practice
• Build and manage your patient panel
• Make clinical and business decisions for your practice
• Collaborate with Kinstead's support team on operational matters

Operational Support

Kinstead handles the business infrastructure behind your practice, including:

• Insurance credentialing and payer contracting
• Billing, coding, and revenue cycle management
• Electronic health record (EHR) and technology setup
• Patient scheduling and intake processes
• Virtual front desk with human staff to answer patient calls
• Business setup, legal, and compliance support
• Website and marketing assistance
• Tools and guidance to grow your patient panel

Required Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Nurse Practitioner license
• Meet Connecticut state requirements for independent practice
• Several years of clinical experience caring for patients
• Strong ties to the community you intend to serve
• Specialty as FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner), or other Nurse Practitioner specialty

Startup and Compensation

Startup costs are typically less than $3,000. Most practices can cover basic operating costs with fewer than 3 patient visits per month. As your practice grows, Nurse Practitioners typically earn approximately $100–$150 per clinical hour, with potential annual earnings around $250,000 in a full-time practice.
