The Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging at McGovern Medical School is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join the growing radiology department across the Greater Houston area. In this role, you will provide a broad range of image-guided diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of image-guided minimally invasive procedures
  • Evaluate patients in consultation and determine appropriate interventional treatment
  • Perform vascular and nonvascular interventions, including biopsies, drainages, vascular access, embolization procedures, and other procedures appropriate to your expertise
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure patient management
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement, education, and peer-review activities
  • Participate in call coverage as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or equivalent qualifications
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Interventional Radiology or Diagnostic Radiology
  • Texas Medical License or Faculty Temporary License
  • Strong clinical, procedural, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with a broad range of vascular and nonvascular interventions
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
