The Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging at McGovern Medical School is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join the growing radiology department across the Greater Houston area. In this role, you will provide a broad range of image-guided diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of image-guided minimally invasive procedures
- Evaluate patients in consultation and determine appropriate interventional treatment
- Perform vascular and nonvascular interventions, including biopsies, drainages, vascular access, embolization procedures, and other procedures appropriate to your expertise
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services
- Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient management
- Participate in departmental quality improvement, education, and peer-review activities
- Participate in call coverage as assigned
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
- Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or equivalent qualifications
- Board certification or board eligibility in Interventional Radiology or Diagnostic Radiology
- Texas Medical License or Faculty Temporary License
- Strong clinical, procedural, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with a broad range of vascular and nonvascular interventions
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
