SNF Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

South Port Square, a 40-acre senior living campus in Port Charlotte, Florida, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team. As a CNA, you will assist licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising
• Give treatment, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed by nursing staff
• Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed
• Answer signal lights promptly
• Change bed linens, make beds, and keep rooms clean and orderly

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program
• State registry registration as a CNA
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic
• Ability to document care given

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience

Schedule and Shifts

Full-time and part-time positions available with the following shift options:

• Full-time weekends: 7:00 AM - 11:30 PM
• Full-time: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Part-time: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting salary: $17.50 per hour
