Siteman West County Patient Care Technician - Full Time

Siteman West County is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed professional nurses. In this full-time role, you will support nursing teams in delivering safe, patient-centered care while collecting vital clinical information and reporting changes in patient status.

Responsibilities

• Implement direct patient care, including assisting patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Perform vital signs, intake and output monitoring, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures
• Provide urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, and point of care testing as requested
• Collect clinical data and report changes in patient status to the nursing team
• Assist nurses with patient and family education
• Document all patient care activities using correct medical terminology
• Act as a 1:1 patient safety sitter when necessary
• Ensure availability of supplies and equipment to meet patient needs
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Participate in professional development opportunities

Clinical Setting

This position is based at Siteman West County in Saint Louis, Missouri. You may be required to float to other Siteman locations as needed, including St. Peters, West County, South County, and Barnes Jewish Hospital Main Campus.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Days: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Monday through Friday
• No holidays
• No weekends

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• No prior experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
• Prior experience as a CNA, nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $17.50 - $22.75 per hour (based on qualifications and relevant work experience)
