Texas Health Resources is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to work nights on a PRN basis within Region C. This is an internal staffing position through the Central Staffing Office that provides clinical staffing resources across Texas Health Resources hospitals in the Metroplex. You will primarily work in Region C, which includes Fort Worth, Specialty Hospital, Southwest, Cleburne, Clearfork, Willow Park, Burleson, Arlington, and Heart and Vascular facilities.
Schedule
- Shift: Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM (no self-scheduling)
- Employment Type: PRN (as-needed)
- Availability: Must be available to work 36 hours per week
- This position is not eligible for full-time or part-time benefits

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
- Respond to patients' priorities regarding safety, physical, psychological, and social needs
- Engage family and caregivers in health care situations
- Communicate in a supportive, open, positive, and tolerant manner
- Create healing environments that provide privacy, safety, confidentiality, and tranquility
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using shared decision-making
- Float throughout the Metroplex based on business needs; while assigned to Region C, you must be open to being floated to neighboring zones when your primary zone has no staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- 5 or more years of clinical nursing experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department experience within the last 5 years
- Current Texas RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing (required upon hire)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (required upon hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required upon hire)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required upon hire)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (required upon hire)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care Nurse (ATCN) certification (required upon hire)
- National Institute of Health Stroke (NIHSS) certificate (required within 90 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
