School Registered Nurse (RN)

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a full-time School Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the building nurse for a middle school with 600+ students in the Hamilton Board of Education district.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a school-based setting, providing nursing care to a large student population in a middle school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and emergency response
• Administer medications to students
• Manage diabetic care for two students
• Perform immunizations
• Maintain school database knowledge and electronic documentation
• Support the health and wellness needs of 600+ middle school students

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state where you will practice (compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 30 days)
• Current CPR certification with hands-on component
• TB skin test current within the last 12 months
• Reliable transportation
• Compliance with all health-related requirements in your jurisdiction, including required vaccinations and testing, subject to exemptions for medical or religious reasons as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of prior hands-on nursing experience
• Experience working in a school setting
