School Nurse/LPN

Saint Joe's is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide one-on-one nursing support to an individual with complex medical needs in a school setting. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, you will accompany and monitor the individual throughout the school day, provide skilled nursing care, and ensure medical needs are met in both school and residential environments.

Clinical Setting

This position supports a student with complex medical and developmental needs within the Princeton City School District. You will work in both school and residential settings, adapting your care to meet the individual's needs across different environments.

Schedule

Full-time, first shift position with a flexible schedule:

• School Year: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on days when Princeton City School District is in session
• Non-School Days: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM supporting ICF floor needs
• Summer: May include 8-hour or 12-hour shifts based on operational needs

Responsibilities

• Accompany and provide nursing support to the individual throughout the school day
• Monitor health status and provide skilled nursing care
• Ensure medical needs are met in school and residential settings
• Document care and communicate with the interdisciplinary team

Required Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Ohio
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum age of 18
• Tracheostomy and ventilator experience required
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet changing school and resident needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience
• Interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities
