School Nurse Substitutes

Timberlane Regional School District is seeking Registered Nurses for substitute positions to support the school health services department. You will provide nursing care to students in a school setting, with particular emphasis on supporting students with diabetes management and using related technology.

Clinical Setting

• School-based health services environment
• Fast-paced office setting
• Work with children and young adults

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students
• Support diabetes management and technology use for students with diabetes
• Input data accurately into student care records using technology systems
• Communicate effectively with school staff, administration, and students
• Coordinate with the health services team

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Knowledge of technology used with students who have diabetes
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate approaches with children and young adults
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, administration, and students
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility
• Ability to use technology for data input and accurate documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Quick learner
• Diverse level of experience in medicine

Compensation and Schedule

• Rate of Pay: $290 per day or $40 per hour
• 7.25 hours per day
• Available as soon as possible
• Position remains open until filled

Training and Support

Training and support is provided to each candidate who joins the team.
