School Nurse Substitute

Northwest Classical Academy is seeking a School Nurse Substitute to provide health services to students, faculty, and staff in the absence of the full-time School Nurse. This is a part-time, on-call position assigned based on operational needs. The School Nurse Substitute reports to the Director of Operations.

Clinical Setting

Northwest Classical Academy is a public charter school located in Kennesaw, Georgia, serving grades K-11 for the 2025-2026 school year with plans to expand to K-12.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document emergency and non-emergency nursing care for physically and/or psychologically ill and injured students, faculty, and staff
• Monitor and manage students with chronic diseases and disabilities while documenting in detail services provided in accordance with associated orders and care plans
• Ensure strict compliance with all NCA Health policies, regulations, and privacy guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or Critical Care Paramedic certification
• At least three (3) years of experience as a practicing nurse or emergency services responder

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR and AED certification

Schedule

This position is on-call and assigned based on operational needs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay rate: $26 per hour
• This role is not eligible for benefits
