School Nurse Substitute

Edina Public Schools is seeking a School Nurse Substitute to provide health services on a casual, as-needed basis across the district. In this role, you will assess, screen, plan, intervene, evaluate, and counsel students regarding their health and medical care needs. You will manage student health concerns, provide referrals when appropriate, and work to minimize absences due to illness while maximizing educational opportunities and creating a healthy school climate.

You will serve students across the district's early learning center, six elementary schools (including French and Spanish Immersion programs), two middle schools, a high school, and the online virtual pathway program.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Minnesota teaching license as a School Nurse, LPN, or RN

Schedule

• Casual, as-needed position
• Non-exempt status

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $35.95 per hour
• Eligible employees participate in one of Minnesota's largest pension programs: either the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) or the Teachers Retirement Association (TRA)
