School Nurse

Sauk Prairie School District is seeking a full-time School Nurse to support and advance the health, academic success, and life-long learning of students. This 1.0 FTE position begins as soon as possible and includes school year hours plus some summer program hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance of health requirements, including review and interpretation of immunization and other health documentation
• Manage medication administration for students
• Train staff on health and medication protocols
• Provide care and case management for students with chronic health needs
• Work collaboratively with other district nursing staff to ensure continuity of nursing services for students and staff

Required Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Wisconsin
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully and positively with students and staff
• Current AED/CPR and First Aid certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN)
• Department of Public Instruction (DPI) School Nurse Certification

Education

Associate's degree in nursing is acceptable; Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
